LIFER female scaup

first one ever for me a female scaup .been trying to connect with these for a couple of weeks last two attempts they have been half a mile out to sea ,this one couldn't be bothered flying off ,but I had to walk out onto a floating pontoon and lie down down on it to get the shots .and I got up again unaided to .

I am not sure which is the most impressive? Getting the shot, or getting up unaided.

twas not getting up that was the problem .it was doing it with the waves rocking the pontoon ,even gentle ones made it precarious at best
