Can confirm that the male at least isn't the same as last year. Male last year had more distinct markings and also had rings on one leg. This male has no rings and rather subtle markings. Kestrel life span is somewhere between 5 and 15 years. Might take a look over last few years images to see if I can tell if previously the male was the same.
Still see one or two of the fledglings around the nest site but they should soon disperse like their siblings.
So this year's story looks to have come to a conclusion. Hopefully they will be back next year and I can watch the story unfold again.
