    India Pond Heron

    From the same family as the Squacco Heron ,this one stood motionless waiting for prey to come close to the pool margin , the bird had more patience than our driver so never saw it catch anything

              A stunning image with a great reflection. Interesting comment about your driver. We always try to get a sole use vehicle then you're in total control. Sat for 2 hours a few years ago waiting for a cheetah to wake up, stretch and yawn.

                  Thanks Brian and Tom , regarding the driver Brian we did have our own jeep but our prime target was Tigers which were proving very elusive and the driver was desperate to find us some to photograph so understandable that he did not want to wait for a great length of time
