I'm not sure how this one will show because of its size but will give it a go.
Whilst watching the Heronry yesterday I spotted 3 egrets through the trees involved in a display that I haven't seen before. I think that the middle one was the female and the other two are male and they are raising their feathers in a manner very similar to a male Peacock display. It was a beautiful and quite dramatic sight (spoilt only by the dreadful noises they make, that they seem to find sexy! )
This was shot through the tree, into the trees, contra jour so I'm afraid the quality is lacking. Anyone else seen them doing this sort of display before?
