    Saker Falcon

Went back to ICBP on Sunday and whilst it was a bright day out on the flying field it was very windy, meaning many of the birds were blown all over the place and also quite difficult to hold the camera still.

This is one of the saker falcons, a juvenile i believe, with a different to the norm pose

Never seen anything quite like it before Stan, but if I ever had to explain primary, secondary and tertiary flight feathers, that would be the shot I would use as an example.

Really unusual capture of a special bird Stan, same usual high standard on all the technical stuff. you are right about sunday, the wind was difficult to work in my camera got sand blasted where I was.

He had just taken off from the trunk at the start of his display, intending to go forward but the wind has just caught him pushing him to the left

Yes a most unusual "angle" of the head.. looks like he is trying to look around a corner.
Despite the conditions you described, a great shot Stan.
