    Eagles in the wild

    Hey guys n girls,

Took the R3 and the RF 100-500 on our Canada trip last month - I was hoping to tick 'wild eagles' off my bucket list. WELL - they say 'patience is a virtue' and I got my wish.

I took way too many to just pick a few so I hope you don't mind - I will just put up 2 links to the gallery:

with the 1.4 extender from HERE Up to the 2 seal shots

Just the 100-500 from HERE Wife and I had sat in one spot on the riverbank for a couple of hours - it paid off (only around minus 10 this day)

Thanks for looking. Ohh and in case you haven't guessed - very VERY impressed with the R3 / 100-500 combo

    .DAVID.

Thanks guys - honestly, the cold very nearly 'broke' me we were down to minus 26 out of the wind for a few days, that was a real struggle.

Hopefully be back again in a couple of years once the savings have re-grown.

          .DAVID.

A brilliant set of pics, worth all your travails I think. I agree with you about Canada, I’ve been there a few times and it’s a lovely country.

Excellent images. An R3 with the 100-500 seems the ideal combo for bird photography. Sadly cost is out of my reach.
