    Re: Snow Drops

Beautiful image. I really like the lighting on this. If I was going to be hyper critical the only thing I would change is on the right edge I would remove the "cut in half" flowers. Making it look like you've dropped on a single specimen clump of snowdrops. (This is of course is just me... )

PS excuse the stem on its lone some, just realised it needs a little more cloning.

If you hate it.. say so and its gone.

Di, it's good to get feedback from my contemporaries. All input is very welcome.

Second for me, and with's Di's crop, makes it a belter, the soft, subtle light really works here.

And the Orton effect suits the subject.

          Thanks Les.

I've now re-done this shot and I've included all the Snow Drops in the cluster. I'm happier with this version, despite there being a lighter area (top right). I agree that the Orton Effect is ideal for this type of shot.

Best one yet Andy. Btw Alamy were looking for nice shots of flowers for the papers today :)

                Andy,
Could you lose the light leaves in the background top L&R. If you can it's a cracker.

Thanks Russell. It's the sky in the background, due to the fact that I was very close to the ground. I have darkened it, but when I tried to hide it, I made the image look worse.

Andy, I'm sure one of the PS experts on this forum can offer some advice, maybe patching in a black background.
