    First with the 100mm Macro

Not the most exciting subjects, but the new lens arrived today, and I had to find a close up of something. Feedback really appreciated, thanks.

I like the blossom Russell and the first is sharp but the background a bit distracting but with these thats the way it is - if they are close to home try putting a coloured card behind the flower you are shooting to get more of a "studio" look

I also like the daffodil, the Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS macro lens is a superb lens.

          I like the Daffodil.

I would have been inclined to have deheaded the dead heads before taking the second picture.

Can I ask where you go the lens from, Ive just had agreement from work that they are going to pay me the money I paid out on exams / courses last year so was considering this as I no longer have a macro lens (albeit the Sigma 70-300 I had wasnt a dedicated macro).

Thank you all for looking and your replies. I think I'm going to like this lens.

Stan, thanks for the tip - though probably not today, thick fog at the moment.

Andy, I ordered the 100mm and a 300mm from Panamoz on Wednesday last week. Paid by Bank Transfer & got an extra £20 or so off for buying two. The 300 arrived on Monday, the 100mm on Tuesday.

                Can't fault that.
