    Sweeping Orchid.

Spent a happy hour this afternoon with flowers. Set up on the kitchen table. Black cloth as backdrop. Just using light from the door, window, no flash.

Taken with my 50mm Macro - there will be some others following, been playing with my macro and macro plus kenko 12mm extension tube.

        Very well done.

You are controlling the light and making it work for you.

Di, that's lovely You've used the light brilliantly to really bring out the detail and colours.
Hand held at 1/10sec? Crikey, you've got steadier hands than me.

Controlled the light by standing in the door or moving to the side. Thanks all for the comments. Very much appreciated.

More here and more to come.... I'm still processing...taking my time with them.

Question... I used to convert to JPEG to do editing... but I thought I'd try converting to TIF to keep the file size and information (bigger file) and then editing.. but I'm loosing my EXIF and having to go back to the original raw file to copy and past it. Any ideas? Should I convert to something else?

These are excellent Di, well done. I was at RHS Wisley at the weekend & they have a special display of orchids in the glasshouse. Some super flowers but every one of my shots was far too soft. I raise my hat to you!

Thanks everyone. Have to admit still get a nice little glow when someone likes what I can get out of the camera.

Just one more and then I'm off to see what I can do with the daisy shots that I took.
