    Not the normal Sunflower photo

    I was driving through fields of them like this so pulled over and got this one - I've tweaked it in LR as I think the PP matches well with the flower ready for harvest, plus the day was as flat as a pancake

          cheers Tom - its a shame the sky was grey but I think the PP has made it a little more interesting, the annoying thing is a hour later down the road it was clear skies but lots of orange trees ;o(

            Almost "colour popping" going on with this one Ian. Interesting shot.

              Very melancholy ... if sunflowers can be melancholy. Good spot and well captured Ian, maybe a polarizer would have helped with the sky ?

                it was an effort to rescue something other than going B&W ... quite pleased with it

                I tried that Scott but the sky was really just grey - it was just a mass of grey crappy yuck lol

                  It has an air of an alien movie about it, almost menacing. Well spotted and you got the best out of the sky mate.
