    Lily

This is the last of the flowers that Dee had for Valentines to open up. Shot against a black background, flash at 45 degrees to left and right, one fitted with a softbox and the other a globe diffuser. Tamron 90, 1/160, f6, manual

      Beautiful, the colours are amazing.
I used my overhead ceiling light, black card and my elbows to steady myself when I photographed my Tulips. I now realize I need to invest in some decent lighting and it is great when you post exactly how you achieved your image for us learners to practise and gain experience.

Bang on again Stan, totally agree with Joanne its a great help when some of the technical data is provided, it does help us newcomers to understand the methods, thankyou.

          Thanks for your comments

With this sort of shot lighting is everything particularly shooting indoors. We had some lilies in the garden last summer and with good light and just a reflector I got some very acceptable shots.

This shot I was using two components from a strobies portrait kit I got after christmashttp://www.interfitphotographic.com/...s%20index.html
and I am still very much in the learning stage with it and it took quite a few shots to get it right

I think this is pretty close to perfect.

I definately need to practice more.
