    A couple of flies from last visit to Barnes. Both handheld with the 100 f2.8 L IS

    what distance do you have the lens set at .3 or .5 ?

      what distance do you have the lens set at .3 or .5 ?
      Don't usually change it from "full". Both these were shot at a distance of around a foot

        I think the only chance I would get would be first thing in the morning as during the daytime its too warm and they never rest

          I was just looking at what we got in Menorca last year - lizards, dragonflies, grasshoppers and butterflies no problem but as well as no shots of flies I don't recall any missed opportunities to shoot them either
