    Four Spotted Chaser

We spent the day at Arne RSPB, mainly to shoot insects and dragonflies. The bright and hot weather brought quite a few out to play, particularly the four spotted chasers, where there were at least half a dozen flying over one of the ponds. This is a selection of shots, all the same pond but showing different backgrounds according to where the dragon perched. All shot with my 300 f4 and 1.4x

Excellent Stan, prefer the first one mainly for the BG as for me it really suits the subject and makes it stand out.

                Thanks for looking guys

The first shows the most wing detail, it was very bright day and difficult to stop the sun reflecting off the wings. I included the others mainly to show the different backgrounds available from just a compactl location
