Marbled White Butterfly

Shot on a piece of scrub near home this morning, always a great place for these butterflies but despite going early most were just flitting all over the place when I discovered this one in the long grass. So settled that I was able to spend a couple of minutes removing most of the grass around him to get this clear view

I was originally shooting with my 300f4 and 1.4x combo but when it looked like he was settled, I went back to the car and changed to the macro lens to get really close - shot in portrait orientation and just a minor crop from top and bottom. This one is very similar but shot landscape and more bits of grass removed and just cropped either side
