    Beetle - ID required

    Not the best shots by any means, but I spotted this in the garden earlier this evening and don't know what it is. It's very much ladybird-like in size & shape. Anyone?

    And yes, that is my reflection in its carapace in the second shot

          Spot on, thanks. Looks like its a bit of a pest, and whilst it wasn't actually on a rosemary plant, there was one nearby.

            It's found on lavender as well, which is often more plentiful than rosemary.
