Amazing what a difference a bit of sun can make. There is still bits of snow lying around on the common opposite my house.

I believe the first one is a fluffed out long tailed tit

The 800mm is my 400 with a 2x converter - which is really why I went out to see how it worked. Glad to say the AF was still quick and the IQ looks good to me

To catch them on the feeder, which I bet was moving, using the 2x I would say that the AF is quick and with good IQ... keep this combination it looks like it works.

I am impressed with the detail and lack of noise at the ISO ratings of 3200 for #2 and 2500 for #3, are these full frame and have you had to do any noise reductions?

They are about 80% of each side. They were also taken in sRaw to let me machinegun to try and get them in flight. Unfortuately even at 1/2000 the wings were horribly blurred.

No noiise reduction - iso 3200 is about the limit without reduction
