    First Concert

    Hi Folks

    Got my first go at photographing a concert last night with a photographers pass. Some of you may know them as Gretchen Peters and Barry Walsh, very famous in the states.

    As usual all CC's welcome.

    Well done John. I like them but I prefer #3 a bit better. You have also controlled the stage lighting well.

      what a bonus to get a press pass for it - thats a real result

      the images are excellent and I'm sure the band will love them

      what did you use ? settings ??

      5D Mk III, 24-105 / 70-200 f2.8 L / 100-400 Mk II / 100 macro / 16-35 L / 11-24 L / 1.4 & 2x converters and a bad back carrying it all ;o)

        majorly high iso, anywhere from 1250 to 2000 @ f2.8, the lighting wasn't very good for my old 5D mk II, but needs must Ian

          does the Mk II not handle high ISO - I know the Mk III does ...

          but they are great images

            Not as good as the mark III, it was known for high iso, but it is getting on a bit now.

                A great opportunity and well taken. For me no 3 is the best composition but selective cropping or cloning to get rid of the water bottle would help.
