Lest we forget

I visited the National Arboretum today after getting my Camera Sensor cleaned and I was looking at the installation put up to honour those that fought in the Great War, among the little individually painted figures this caught my eye, who were they, did they survive the horrors and did a loved one make this to honour them in their family, to be honest, this was a hard image to place in any category, but I do hope it shows a little insight into the fragility of life as the wooden figures start to succumb to the ravages of time.
