At most weddings I do I'm helped by a friend of mine and vice versa I help him with his and we seem to compliment each other well. These were some I took as a second shooter at at wedding we did at the end of last month

some very nice shots there Jim.
I thought the elevated shots from inside the church were a nice variation, especially in B&W.

Good work, I especially like the 2nd and 3rd batch, though nothing wrong with the first.

I am interested in things are "divvied out" - do you give the guy your 2nd shooting for your images for possible presentation to the couple ?

Hi Jim

Some excellent shots.
The couple should be well chuffed with them.
I prefer the second and third batch, with the three b&w's being my faves.

I thought the elevated shots from inside the church were a nice variation, especially in B&W.

The minister was a friend of te couple so we (wrongly) assumed all would be ok for shots inside the church. He said no photography during the ceremony whatsoever becuase flash and the noise was very intrusive! I politely stated I never use flash (white lie) and asked if I could take just a couple - he said I could take some during the singing :) So very limited chances but was happy to get a couple of nice ones. Andy was nearer the front but got none!

Yes Trevor. He gets all the RAW images and the Lightroom edits as a catalogue. Easily sent that way. Likewise I get the RAWs and Lightroom catalogue from him when he shoots for me.

We normally shoot well together and the contrast in shots works well. Andy has a great eye for small details that I don't see! :)

Hi Dave thanks for the kind words. Not sure the couple have seen them all yet but I'm sure they will be happy. She was a very beautiful bride. I also prefer the B&W shots here :)

Thanks for your reply Jim - two heads are better than one - two different ways of seeing things not to mention; spreading the load - the arrangement is ideal !

I think initially he felt a little odd "giving away" his RAW images. But after getting a set from me when he felt as if he could have done better that was when we both appreciated what we do for each other. I hope it continues for a while yet. We considered giving a small retainer as expenses but we don't even do that now. The benefit to each other is massive.

Also I don't use his images on my site (as advertising) nor do I post any on the web as me having taken them. I post them only for the couple (and friends) to see in their web gallery.

Speaking in broad terms I have found there is much to be gained from collaboration, and at the very least good friendly relations with other photographers.
I'm on first name terms with most snappers I see regularly.
