A couple of spiral staircases we spotted on holiday both shot with the canon 10-22 wide angle lens

and this one at the cactus garden

the mansion is built into the rocks and all the main living areas are down hewn out of the rocks - its a stunning place

The golden spiral composition is so strong in the second one that the image just takes off. It's a plain old staircase but not as we know it Jim.

that's what I was aiming for - had to lay flat on the floor to get the shot which was not an option with the first one
