    Short and Curly......

.....that was the set subject for last nights digital competition at camera club, not the easiest of subjects to come up with something a bit different than the usual crop of curly haired dogs, children and people. My daughter has an allotment as part of a co-operative where they also rear pigs, so I thought that would make a good subject, go in close to concentrate on the curly tail and the texture of the skin. So heres the shot

It scored 9.5 out of 10 and along with my second shot which got 9 it was a good start.

However Dee got a 10 for this super snail shot

and a 9 for her second shot, unfortunately another member, James got a 10 and 9.5 but just a point between the three of us going into the open round...which I much prefer

Anyway the end result was a win and the trophy for me by half a point ( a 10 and 9.5 for the open shots) from James with Dee third, who unfortunately sufferered with one of her shots which lookeed pin sharp on the small screen showing up some faults when projected large

    Congratulations on your win Stan.
Unlucky Dee but third is good and a great snail shot.

      Thanks Stephen
I did feel for Dee as I had visions of the comp ending with a 3 way tie to be decided on the number of 10's obtained, like the previous comp i mentioned to you on Monday - had that happened we would both have lost out as James had two against our one each

First time I've seen a close up of a pig's ass

        Full marks for originality !

            Snails my fave.

Mind you, they were served for dinner one night while I've been on holiday - nice to see a live one.

Stan I'm guessing there would have been a few monacles popping out of eyes at Eastbourne Camera Club when they realised what they were looking at.

Fits the theme perfectly though, so well done.

They were done in a "hot" mojo sauce. I declined and had the Kalamari instead
