    CSCC Snetterton

First race weekend of the year for the guys and it was superb, full grids all around with a great mix of cars, weather was. . . . pants really lol Saturday we had a couple of really small showers but the wind / cold was relentless (a Snetterton trait) but Sunday was just bonkers - freezing cold with hail stones one minute and then the sun would burst through the next and dry everything out again.

I took a big gamble for this one - last week I sold my trusty 100-400 and bought the mk2 70-200 2.8 IS, borrowed Cory's 1.4 extender just in case and I'm glad to report that it was a total success, for 99% of the time the 200mm max is more than enough, with the extender on it just gives me that little extra if / when it's needed with next to no drop off.

Trying to pick just a few to post up here is near on impossible as I took waaaaay too many (as usual) but here are a few tasters:

#1 - V8's thundering around on their warm up lap, with the bridge of course

#2 - such a mix for the main '60's' race

#3 - couple of 'porkers' fighting it out

#4 - ahead of the Mustang. . . yes really

#5 - not a lot you can say about this one other than "Mmmmmmm"

#6 - one more shot before the sun goes down in a blaze of hail

If you have a spare hour then grab a drink of your choice and check out the 2 galleries from the weekend here:

Cheers - cold would be an understatement lol.

Snetterton is a superb track as there are low fences and a lot on new raised viewing areas. Cory found that 200mm was more than enough most of the time from spectator side of the fence.

Too many nice ones to drool over.

The couple of big AM Vantages look good amongst the Yank V8 muscle and the little Min amongst the pack and the E Type is just too gorgeous! As you can tell, I just love the historics.
