    A few more rugby shots !

    A few images from the games this weekend,at Beverley RUFC.













    Bad day for the rugby teams as all lost,So I'll do some football next week .
    Images taken with EOS 7D,SIGMA 100-300f4,iso started at 400 ended the day 1600,looked very dull near the end of the game,

    Paul, good action shots.
    Surely #3 is a yellow card with the tackled player's legs being lifted above the horizontal.

      Surely #3 is a yellow card with the tackled player's legs being lifted above the horizontal.
      A lot of big tackles goes on in these games with very few cards or even stoppages for resulting injuries,if its a bad tackle the players have a quick punch up,then shake hands after the game and have a few beers together.Not sure its like that in football.

        Some good action there Paul, i like photo No 3 caught well and also like the No4 photo as well. Wich team are these playing 1st & 3rds ?.

          Paul, for me this is football, the round ball game is Soccer.
          I am from the Southern Hemisphere and attended a school in Brisbane where anyone in the first 15 was a god like person so Rugby is in my blood along with Rugby League. You are right about the punch-ups and the beers afterwards though.

            Yes your about right,1st are playing (stockport green-red hoops)
            Thirds who are called Beverley Bandits where playing Hornsea.

              so Rugby is in my blood along with Rugby League.
              From the southern Hemisphere Now they know how to play the game in both codes We get thrashed in union,and double thrashed in Rugby league.
              Makes me glad I'm doing soccer(football to every body else)next week.Team called Louth Town who are a great football team coming through the non leagues .Remember where you heard them first,they'll be in the football league in no time?

                    I've give him your details so if you get a knock on the door be afraid ,If i were you I'd get the wife to open the door first just to be on the safe side

                        Always think portrait frame works so well in isolating a player in full flow,hopefully with my new 200f2.8 i will be able to soften the background and isolate the player even more.

                            Shoots number 4 and 5 are my fav. Great ones. I love their facial expression. Great photos.
