Mustang and Spitfire landing approach @ Goodwood Revival

Just arrived in time yesterday to catch some of the early am display by the P51D and Spitfire - I was close to the approach path as they landed - sun disappeared an hour later.

Many thanks David - I was lucky as the weather closed in and the rest of the flying displays were adversely affected - I am pleased with both images as I wanted to use a slow shutter and maximise prop blur - they look great in full resolution. Regards John

These are great John, like the the light and shadows, seems to bring out the detail in the construction of the Aircraft.

Both cracking images John, but you just can't beat a Spitfire! Do you have any pics of it with it's legs tucked in?

The light looks just right to get so much more colour and detail in the spitfire than i got at Bournemouth. If you have any extra canvas then they both really need some extra space to fly into

Thanks again Doug - the direction of light was at 45 degrees to the planes and made the panel joints stand out - Regards John

Thanks Andy - unfortunately not as I arrived just as the display finished and by the time I had the camera out they were on final approach - next time! Regards John
