A few images from the recent Duxford airshow....

Canadian Lanc 'Vera' along with the BBMF's 'Thumper'. Shame the sky was so grey...

This old Boeing 727 almost stole the show:

Dropped a more interesting sky behind the Dragon Rapide:

A pair of Fokker Dr1s from the Great War Display Team. The upper of the two aircraft is owned and flown by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden.

Nice set Les, interesting sky addition for the Rapide, what a beautiful aircraft, like the Triplanes too, though they do have a bit of a Halo, perhaps over sharpened??

No3 is a great image, I could see that on a movie poster.

Thanks chaps :) Think you're right about the halo Paul, doesn't help that Flickr seems to sharpen again too ;)

              Re: Duxford September Airshow 2014

Nice to see a Dragon Rapide. I flew in 1943 example, G-AIYR as HG691 in RAF colours when I was last at Duxford in October 2007. The 10 minute flight was extended due to other movements in the area. So got a splendid view of Cambridge, where I worked in the early 80's.

              Thanks for posting yours.

Thanks - must have been good to fly in the Rapide. They always have flights at the airshow, will have to give it a go myself one day....
