Hi All,
The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster 'Thumper' has taken to the skies again today to do a Flypast over the new Bomber Command Memorial in Lincoln.
Thumper was grounded after an Emergency landing in May due to an engine fire, each engine bay has two fire extinguishers, both had been deployed but the fire had not been put out. RAF Coningsby Emergency services were alongside the Lancaster in a matter of seconds after landing and extinguished the Fire. Sadly the fire had done serious damage which has taken five months to repair.
The First flight test took place on Monday.
