    Furze Platt Railway Station

    Sounds like a romantic sort of name - it doesn't suit the place... Anyway, I quite liked this:

    Nice shot Richard. Don't often see track leading straight in to an image like that, usually taken at an angle. I like this though, with a lead in to a menacing sky

      Thanks Garry - I guess I was more interested in the turn away at the end! Hence my rather pretentious Flickr title for it! Plus I have to admit I was standing on a bridge right over the track!!!

          I like that, the track leads the eye to the station and the light is good.

                    I'd not heard of this station before ... so had to look it up ... and discovered it has just the one platform well it is single track.
