They sure do work those old tanks hard...
Methinks the mono conversions were the best option on a poor day!
I'd swap Third Class travel in that coach for anything that First Great Western has to offer today

the light wasn't too bad but I think mono is the way to go with the old trains, as Brian says it gives the period lookMethinks the mono conversions were the best option on a poor day!

Nice images Stan the mono treatment works really well, many years since I have been to Didcot, must make an effort this year. (thanks MX5 for reminding me of something long forgotten Castrol- R ahh those were the days)

only the second time I have been and will hope to go again over Easter when they will have an enhanced steam weekendmany years since I have been to Didcot, must make an effort this year
