    5D3

Just received a new 5D3, charged the battery and working my way through the various menu options. Just fired off a few shots in the lounge to check that it works and first impressions are very pleased with what I see.

Will try some sensible shots tomorrow and if I can will run a series of the same object but running through the ISO range to see how well it does handle high ISO.

The first thing I notice is that on my 50D the average file size is ~20Mb the files on the 5D3 are well over 30Mb, glad I have 2 x 3Gb hard drives to store the images

Good luck with the new camera. 2x3Gb is not going to be enough I'm afraid Muscat, better start talking in terms of terabytes. Since the 5D2 here we are into the realms of 2teras and still not enough.
            Cheers

I am green! Hope you enjoy.
The camera works just fine, it's the idiot staring through the viewfinder that need's help!

Yes I guess it was a typo. I would love to hear your thoughts on the focus system after you have had a chance to give it a good try out. Have loads of fun. Yours Mr Green from Wales. LOL
