5D MarkIII - Rubber Grip Becoming Detached

The rubber group inlay on my 5D MarkIII has started becoming detached on one side. It's a little annoying and on a camera less than a year old far from ideal.
Fortunately the Canon Repair Centre at Elstree is not too far from where I live, so I'm going to drop it in on Monday morning. Having spoken to them if the part is in stock they will do it whilst I wait, otherwise the new part should be available next day. So either way I should not be waiting too long.
With my Canon CPS membership the turn around should be pretty quick.
I'll let people know what the service is like when I get it back.
    Andy

Cheers, I am optimistic after speaking to a very helpful lady yesterday.
Ideally it will be done whilst I wait, but at worst I'm hoping I can pick it up at the end of the week.

Might be a silly question, but why cant they tell you if they have the part in now or at least order one in now so you dont waste a journey today and have a good chance of a while-u-wait repair when you know its in stock..

That is a fair and reasonable question, the lady I spoke to said they don't check parts availability until they have the item in for repair.
I guess that's because party's may get used or in Stone cars have limited shelf life. They probably don't want to check parts only for people not to turn up.
Worst case she reckoned was the part would be delivered next day.

Barcelona for us Ian. I have had a new cover screen for my 40D from them and a friend had his CF card pins replaced by them.
