Canon 5Ds Second-Hand in London (U.K.)

I was in Camera World today (just off Oxford Street) and someone was trading-in a 5Ds. It may already have gone but if anyone's interested I understand they were going to ask £2600 for it (about £400 under retail). I continued to ASK to get a 5Dsr after the briefest of pauses for thought...

BTW as I understand it they have two 5DmkIIs (they are a Pro) and just found the 5Ds images took too long to process and slowed everything down. Personally I'd have got a faster computer... but if this is what they want to do far be it from me to object.

As it's for a business I assume the loss won't be so bad, what with no VAT and they can count the rest against taxes.

Pro or amateur we can all fall prone to the hype and make choices that are not based on a genuine need - cameras are just tools to do a job but I for one sometimes suffer from GAS disease ( Gear Acquisition Syndrome).

I fully agree with you James. I don't change my camera equipment unless I have a specific need. I believe in getting the job done with what I have got.
