Cheap easy to fit lens cover for larger lenses

Well, the item for the Canon 500mm isn't that easy to lug about with you, I looked at the plastic food container lids you can get from the USA, then had a brainwave.

For a staggering £1.85 delivered, I have 100 Waterproof Salon Hotel Disposable one-off Spa Hair Elastic Shower Caps on the way from China

As they are elasticated and small, I can carry the Camera around with one over the end, and a spare in the bag or pocket, if it rips, no great shakes as it cost me 1.85 Pence..

Am I cheap, or am I cheap



heck if it rains i could probably pull one over the camera.

Naaa, it will never catch on, BTW also ordered a yellow duck one complete with beak, how cool will that look on my lens, they do a shark or frog etc too, these are reusable ones.

What a good idea. You could also use a couple as overshoes if it rains

You could then say “Watch the birdie!” That’s a great idea for a lens cap though.
