Epson 2100 Help Please

Can anyone please help me with my printer. I bought this printer recently and it was working perfectlly until i came to change a cartride and i broke one of the sensors in the cartride carrier, so i took it to the repair centre and had it fixed, now i cant get any ink through the print heads as how i try. I was told by the shop that i would have to do a lot of cleaning cycles to get the ink through, i have done this to no avail, i rang the shop back and they told me that i should purchase original cartridges and that might work ( a bit expensive for might ) I have tried the windowlene approach and that has not worked, i am now out of ideas, i cant help thinking that the heads are not blocked and that there is some other reason its not working, so any sugestions would be appreciated.

What about looking for a second hand one and replacing the head? Sorry can't help much as this is something to discuss with an expert!
